The Rimblades® Story – The worlds number 1 stick-on rim protector. Our MD says:

“In 2009 I was running a business building custom air-cooled Volkswagens and in the September bought myself a brand new company car. As I like to modify my cars, the first thing I did was lower it and fit some large alloys, but that same week kerbed both nearside wheels on the same day....

Why Bond-On Rim Protectors?

Why Bond-On Rim Protectors?

When you choose add-ons for your car, you often face an age-old dilemma – looks or practicality. In most cases, practical mods and parts are not as good looking as those that aren't usually practical! But, can you have both?

With Rimblades, you can. They're equally easy to install and remove and are as practical as they are good looking. But, why exactly should you consider getting the edge with a set of 'Blades? Here are just a few reasons...

The Protection

Even though they look fantastic, a set of aftermarket wheels are almost always very expensive. However, with the pride of owning a shiny new "automotive jewellery" comes anxiety. Will they be stolen when the car is parked on the street overnight? Will you bend them going over potholes? Will you kerb them? We completely understand if you are losing sleep over those questions because we do, too. Unfortunately, we can't help you with theft protection, and we can only advise you to invest in a set of anti-theft wheel bolts.

However, we can help you with all other types of damages your wheels are exposed to. As wheel enthusiasts, we know that the most significant number of damages that occur are small scratches and dents that happen in everyday driving or through kerbing. With the edge of the wheel being the most vulnerable, Rimblades is designed specifically to help protect that part of the wheel and keep it factory fresh and perfect regardless of how many miles and in what condition you had covered. Rimblades are made from an innovative and durable plastic compound designed to absorb the hits to your wheel edge. The cushioning layer of material with a profile that fits a huge range of wheels blends with the rim's outer surface, looking smooth and elegant while still offering a decent level of protection.

The Options

We know that there are so many types of wheels and types of owners. That is why we designed several types of Rimblades for various purposes and sizes.

Ultra's: You can opt for our best-selling Ultra set, which comes in over 10 different colours and are made out of durable Santoprene plastic compound. Each of these sets will consist of four 1.9-metre long strips, which can cover wheels up to 22-inch in diameter.

Light’s: A really popular option for covering up existing damage and giving that ever so important colour trim look. Although offering less protection, they still look fantastic.

Rimsavers: 12 colours available and are most suitable for flat edge/flat lip or flat narrow lip wheel types. They're manufactured from thin, hard plastic, offering medium-high protection and stylish looks for high-speed drivers and performance cars.

Rimblades Pro: This product is designed for the most discriminating customers and for people looking for maximum protection. Made out of rigid PVC plastic with 100 shore hardness, Pro sets come in 17 to 20-inch sizes, four colours, and are a favourite of those who use their cars in extreme conditions.

Bond-On Capability

Although the specs, materials and durability of Rimblades products sound amazing, we are proudest of its bond-on installation process, which couldn't be more straightforward. For best results and adhesion, be sure to thoroughly clean and degrease the edge of the wheel and note that when you install a set of our rim protectors the best, the bond is set usually after 24 hours. All you need to do is follow the instructions on the packaging, choose your wheel size and stick the adhesive strip following the edge of the wheel.

However, it is not only a super easy installation; getting them off your car can be done in a matter of minutes. You just peel the strip off, and that is it. Of course, you can expect some glue residue on the surface of the wheel that has been covered. Don't worry, it will not damage the paint by any means. It can be removed easily with our VHB tape remover.
