A Decade of ‘Blades!

Rimblades is proud to be celebrating 10 successful years in business as of today!
The story began 11 years ago back in 2009 when our owner and founder, Darren Bowden, was running a business building custom air-cooled VW's. As a car enthusiast at heart, Darren always had a passion for modifying cars and when he took delivery of a new Company car, he set about planning some exciting mods and upgrades.
First up was to lower the vehicle and fit some expensive new alloys. However, he was left distraught after kerbing both nearside wheels that same week! Following the incident, Darren started to search for a product to cover up the damage and protect his alloys against any further scrapes. After spending hours looking online and asking contacts within the trade, Darren was surprised and disappointed to find that there was nothing on the market to suit his needs. So, he decided to design and create his own perfect solution - a new rim protection upgrade which eventually resulted in the official launch of Rimblades in December of the following year.
Fast forward 10 years and Rimblades is now firmly established as the enthusiast drivers choice for alloy rim protection and recognised as one of the best ‘bang for the buck’ car upgrades a driver can make.
Rimblades provide an instant aesthetic and performing upgrade with a continuous protective ‘blade’ which DIY bonds around the full circumference of your wheel. They are designed to absorb and deflect a range of impacts from flying stones and track debris, to brushes with roadside verges and even full-on kerbing.
To mark the 10 year anniversary, Rimblades has launched an all-new and improved product range this year. The 2020 range is the culmination of 10 years of intensive research and development inspired by our valued customer’s feedback and helped realised by the support of technical partners at the 3M laboratory.
The streamlined range consists of 'Blades Light, Ultra and Pro - each delivering 3 core levels of protection, and between them offering what we believe to be the very best products available in the marketplace – at any price.

As well as that, we’ve redesigned and relaunched the Rimblades website and despite Covid, have enjoyed a very successful year, - all thanks to our loyal supporters and customers.
